Terms & Conditions

Last updated: September 5, 2026

Placeholder notice: Section 10 ("Governing Law") below is left generic because the business's registered legal entity/jurisdiction isn't finalized yet. Fill that in — ideally with a lawyer's input — before treating this as final.

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of CostEra's website and mobile applications (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

CostEra is a business-management tool for orders, quotes, purchases, inventory, clients, and financial reporting, available via web browser and native iOS/Android apps, with data synced across all three.

2. Accounts

3. Free Plan and Premium Subscription

CostEra offers a free plan with limited features (see the current limits on our pricing page) and a paid Premium subscription that unlocks the full feature set.

4. Your Business Data

Any data you enter into CostEra — orders, products, client records, financial figures, and so on — belongs to you. We don't claim ownership over it. You're responsible for the accuracy of the data you enter and for complying with any laws that apply to your own business (including tax, accounting, and data-protection obligations toward your own customers).

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

6. Intellectual Property

The CostEra name, logo, and the software itself are owned by us and protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms don't grant you any rights to our trademarks or branding beyond what's needed to use the Service normally.

7. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, or where we reasonably believe continued access would pose a risk to the Service or other users.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't guarantee the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose. You're responsible for maintaining your own backups of critical business records where practical.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, CostEra and its team won't be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of [jurisdiction to be confirmed], without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you through the app.
